Nike Campbell is the Founder of Our Paths to Greatness. She has over 20 years of experience in administration, program management, budgeting and finance in the public and private sectors. She was the budget and finance manager for Prince George’s County, Office of the Sheriff, Maryland for six years where she managed the operating ad grants budgets, revenues collection, payroll, procurement, asset forfeiture funds and purchasing card system. She was also responsible for submitting grant proposals for national, state and local programs. Prior to this, she was a budget analyst for the Office of Management and Budget for the same County, and a financial analyst for three years in Prince William County, Virginia, Office of Finance.
Nike’s work in the international development field included proposal writing, recruitment and program management for programs funded by multilateral development organizations including the World Bank. She is presently an independent consultant for both governmental and nonprofit organizations developing, implementing and managing financial training classes, leadership and mentorship programs. As founder, of Our Paths to Greatness, she has overseen the successful fundraising and supply of donations to two schools in the Makoko, Lagos, Nigeria. In collaboration with Noah’s Ark Mission, a nonprofit organization, she implemented a reading challenge competition to encourage a reading culture among students. The organization has facilitated leadership speaker series, mentorship programs and cultural events in the Washington DC area and Nigeria.
Nike is the author of Thread of Gold Beads, a historical fiction which was adapted to a stage play in the Washington DC area in 2014 and the best-selling short story collection Bury Me Come Sunday Afternoon published in 2016 by Quramo Publishing. She holds a Master of Arts degree in International Development with a focus on Community Development and Basic Needs from American University, Washington DC. and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, minor in Political Science from Howard University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy.
